We guarantee… the health of any puppy at the time they are purchased, unconditionally. All puppies must visit your vet within 7 calendar days of purchase for a complete physical exam.

We guarantee… We are willing to take back and refund all moneys if within 10 days of the purchase and upon examination from your vet, that they are found to have a physical problem. Physical problems must be in writing from the vet to be considered.

We do not return your full purchase price, if you have changed your mind regarding the purchase of the puppy. We ask that you seriously consider the ramifications of owning a puppy prior to the purchase. 

However, if you change your mind, you are required by your contract to return the puppy to Sulawesi Kennels.

You will not be permitted to resell the puppy either for a profit, or for the original purchase price should you decide you are no longer able to care for the dog.

We guarantee… that we have bred only animals that have certified by OFA (Orthopedic Foundation For Animals) found to be free of hip dysplasia. Please note that a grading of Fair does not mean dysplasia. 

We guarantee… that the parents have been certified by OFA to be free of elbow dysplasia at the time of breeding.

We guarantee… that to our knowledge that there have been no dyplastic siblings in either of the parents litters.

Research indicates that dysplasia has much an environmental cause as a genetic one. Because we have no control over exactly how you will raise and feed your puppy. We cannot offer an unlimited or unconditional guarantee on hips, or elbows. For example, if you allow your puppy to become grossly overweight and/or encouraged to perform excessive amounts of exercise prior to maturity, we will not refund your money.

We guarantee… that we have not knowingly bred an animal affected with Hyper/Hypothyroidism. All of our breeding stock is clear of hypothyroid by Michigan State University, every year.

Research indicates that the thyroid is affected by exposure to toxins, and or food intake. We cannot offer an unlimited or unconditional guarantee on thyroid.

We guarantee… that all puppies are raised in our home, and although we currently do not have young children of our own, we "rent" friends children to expose all puppies to young children every week. From 4 weeks old, until they go to their new homes, we have visitors to play with the puppies.

All puppies, in particular Ridgebacks must be exposed to as many new experiences as possible as young puppies, if they are not they can become weary of new experiences and people. We do all that we can, to start them off correctly, to be as accepting as possible, the rest is the responsibility of the new owners.

If you are purchasing a pet, you will not be sold a breedable animal. All pets are sold on spay/neuter contracts, requiring they be submitted for surgery prior to their 6-month birthday.

If you are purchasing a show potential puppy, you may be sold an animal on a co-ownership, please read your contract.

A "show potential" puppies does NOT mean that it will become a champion, or that it is worthy of being bred. In fact, we neuter many of our champions, because only the very best will be bred for the next generation. 

Having a championship is only the beginning, the very first step, in the process.

We do not breed puppies for profit, but we carefully breed to produce outstanding show dogs that are as close to the standard as possible.
