To proclaim that health and temperament is the primary concern for a breeding program is redundant, it should be an absolute given that only the healthiest dogs with correct temperaments are ever used in any breeding program.

NO BREEDER EVER states that it is their intent to produce unhealthy dogs dog with bad tad temperaments. One MUST breed for TYPE, TEMPERAMENT & HEALTH.

We believe in producing the best conformation using a knowledge of both science and art.

Science helps us to select the dog with the best structure designed to fulfill the dog's purpose in life, with the most efficiency.

Art helps us to select the dog with beauty of form, proportion and symmetry.

Correct conformation can dictate the ability of the dog to perform at the highest level for the greatest length of time.

Faulty conformation could lead to early breakdowns, soft tissue damage and arthritis.

We have chosen to concentrate on conformation and have the Championship titles to prove our success, every breeding is with Champion sires and dams, many times with Dual Champions (Conformation & Field Champions)

In a 6 generation pedigree (62 individual dogs) you would be hard pressed to find 3 dogs that are NOT American Kennel Club Champions!

For those who choose to do companion events (obedience/rally/agility) and performance events (lure coursing)

Our dogs are ready, willing and able to do it all.

We are pleased to announce that Sara, Goose and Nemo have all tested homozygous N/N with two NORMAL copies of the gene associated with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). Which means that the Sara/Goose puppies are all N/N and will not develop this debilitating disease. Since Travis is also N/N, it means that all of those puppies are also N/N are also safe. This is such wonderful news ... More info on this disease later.  Current Statistics for DM, Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders are taking this very seriously, and our breed has the highest total number of dogs tested, with nearly 1/2 being N/N which is great news.
